Announcer Don Wilson
Weds Peggy Ann Kent

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 19— UPI—Radio Announcer Don Wilson, 40, and Peggy Ann Kent, 21, daughter of President Sidney R. Kent, of Twentieth Century-Fox Pictures, were married today in Wilson's Van Nuys home.
It was Miss Kent's fourth marriage. She recently divorced Ern Westmore, studio makeup artist. Wilson's former wife, Lucy Jane Wilson, obtained a final divorce decree last Thursday.

Divorce Granted; 'video' blamed
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Television was one of the main factors contributing to the breakup of radio announcer Don Wilson's marriage to Mrs. Maruisa Wilson, Polish beauty, she testified Friday in winning a divorce.
"He just wanted to sit home and look at television and not go out any place,” she told superior judge Alfred Barrett. She also said that Wilson, Jack Benny’s announcer, called her “a stupid Pole.”
The court said he believed Mrs. Wilson had proved a case of cruelty, “but I doubt that looking at television is cruelty.”
“Well,” quipped her lawyer Roger Marchetti, “some of the programs are pretty murderous.”

(Sounds like the lawyer was stealing Fred Allen's material)

Wait a second. I think that said that Peggy Ann Kent, 21, was on her fourth marriage?

Oh, and based on the timeline, Peggy must have been the "little woman" at the time the gang all descended on the Wilson home unannounced, despite Jack's repeated cautions that Don should "call her! call the little woman!"

The marriage that lasted the longest for Donsie was Lois Corbet. He married her circa 1950 and they were still married when he passed away.

I wonder what Ms. Kent's final total of marriages was? If she was married 4 times by the time she was 21....wow!

Hmm. I thought I reposted on this, but it isn't here.

(Oh, wait. "Hmmmm." is YOUR line, isn't it?)

Sometimes I have trouble converting the .pdf files to text. I went back and viewed the original story. 21 is incorrect. It should be 23. Still....
