Kenny Baker leaves Jack Benny radio show

To make matters even MORE confusing, there's yet ANOTHER "Kenny Baker" who is a Bluegrass musician! (What IS it with that name?).

In the words of Senator Claghorn, "That's a joke, son." The Kenny Baker who sang on the Benny program was NOT the person who played R2D2. End of story.

Hi,

I've always said that leaving Jack's program was Kenny Baker's biggest mistake. He left for greener pastures in motion pictures. From what I understand, "The Mikado" was going to be his big break, but the movie is stodgy. He then returned to radio on Fred Allen's program, but not for long. He later had his own radio series (in which the announcer was, ironically, Don Wilson, and Schlepperman was a regular, and low and behold, Jack made a guest appearance!).
"....and here he is....FRED ALLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!"

And of course he was later found in a closed off section of Jack's house. :D
