I was listening to an episode of the Mysterious Traveler tonight and it struck me how easy it apparently was to go buy poisons at the drug store. Not to mention how people seemed to have no problem with killing dogs and cats. Anyone else notice that in various shows from back then?

Maybe poison was easier to write into a script. It required acting instead of sound effects although there were plenty of gun shots back then.
