Benny sighting

Not exactly a new sighting, but in the recently-released DVD of 1980's "The Final Countdown" starring Kirk Douglas and Martin Sheen, there is a scene in which characters in the film listen to "The Jack Benny Show".

The plot of the film concerns a modern aircraft carrier transported back in time to December 6, 1941 at (where else) just off the coast of Hawaii. Kirk and his crew are convinced of their time travel by listening to Rochester complain about Carmichael. The ship's XO (played by "Superfly"s Ron O'Neal exclaims "Jack Benny??!!"

Obviously, the December 7 1941 show was performed after knowledge of the attacks, and there was no (to my knowledge) December 6 show.

I'll leave it to the more advanced Benny historians to ascertain exactly which episode was played.
