This last fall I had a chance to entertain the seniors at my church with a Jack Benny re-enactment. Honestly, it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I was really 39 at the time, and I had the wonderful chance to play Jack Benny. They loved Jack in St. Joe, and they loved our show here in Gig Harbor, Washington. If you ever get a chance to do this - jump at it. It has given me a whole new understanding and empathy for setting up and creating a Jack Benny Show. If anyone wants the script I culled together from some of the best Benny shows, just ask.
I was afraid

they wouldn't remember, but I knew we had them when my brother-in-law said "Train leaving on track 5 for Anaheim, Azuza..." and before he could say it the crowed shouted "...and Cucamunga!"

It was awesome...still sends shivers up my back.
