"Lucy Gets Jack Benny's Account" was the most expensive television episode to that time. Milt Josefsberg wrote in his book that he basically wrote it as a Jack Benny episode. So it's like the last episode of "The Jack Benny Show."

Also, in "Lucy and Phil Harris," Phil plays a down on his luck songwriter that Lucy goads into finishing a hit song. The song, "I Loved Her," was really written by Gordon Jenkins, and after being introduced by Harris in this episode, was recorded by Jack Jones and Frank Sinatra.
