Netflix

If you're subscribed to Netflix, I've noticed that they've recently added some Jack Benny shows to their collection of available DVDs. A few episodes are available for instant streaming on your computer or your X-Box 360, which is what I use for Netflix for since I move around too much to get DVDs sent to me. Thought I'd drop a note about this if anyone was interested in some instant Jack Benny.

These are, of course and quite sadly, episodes with most of the commercials cut out, but some Jack Benny is better than no Benny!

Some notes about the episodes available on instant stream:

- Many of the music numbers have been cut (I'm guessing a matter of copyright?)
- One of the episodes claims to be "At the Races", but it's actually the episode with Humphrey Bogart

There are also a lot of sources for the episodes so the same episodes crop up in different collections. Some have the cigarette ads and the music and some do not.
Still no Horn Blows or George Washington available but you can get To Be Or Not To Be and Charley's Aunt from Netflix.
If I've told you once I've told you five times...

Here is a nice link to a dozens and dozens of streaming episodes for your computer, many not in other collections and some not the "live" kinescope shows that many of us are used to but the filmed episodes that have a more sitcom quality.
