Anyone Attending the Friends of OTR Convention In Oct.?

hey gang,

i wanted to know if anyone plans on attending the Friends Of Old Time Radio Convention next month in Newark, NJ. it is to my eternal regret that i will be in Berlin until late October, so i won't be attending, and am really curious as to what i'll be missing as Eddie Carroll is recreating an episode on the Saturday Night. please, let me know, if only to share your own experience there. thanks!

I tried to persuade my wife, but she maintains there is nothing in Newark that would remotely interest her. OTOH, she loves California, so we are planning to go to Studio City in November for SPERDVAC's 75th Anniversary Celebration of the Jack Benny Program, with a recreation of a broadcast by Eddie Carroll as Jack and Chuck McCann as Don. Plus we'll get to say "hi" to IJBFC's founder and guiding light, Laura!

yes, i thought about going to this too, except when i'm in the States, i'm on the East Coast, so this was alot more accessable- but i dig what your mrs. means about Newark. (sorry, any NJ-residing board members)
i wish Eddie did more dates around the NYC area, but heres hoping for 2008.
