Quick report on the Eddie Carroll tribute: our president Laura Leff did a wonderful job, introducing the clip from the Jack Benny Birthday Special featuring Eddie. I told a story about Eddie and Rip Taylor and almost got through it without crying. Very intimidating, being a speaker amid such talents as Peter Marshall, Wink Martindale, Jamie Farr, and Laura--but I wouldn't have missed the tribute for the world. So long for now, Eddie. We'll all miss you

Back to Atlanta early tomorrow--where, I swear, the traffic is worse than it is in L.A.
