Mary sings: "You say the ____ ? things"

I heard a show from 1937 where Mary sang kind of a neat song--
something like "You Say the Darndest Things, But You're So Darn Cute When You Do". Or was it "Doggone-dest Things"?
I've tried Googling phrases from my approximate title but haven't found a match.
Can anyone help?

I'm thinking that's "You Do the Darndest Things, Baby" by Mitchell and Pollack from the 1936 movie PIGSKIN PARADE, where Jack Haley sings it.

The movie's on DVD.

Oh yeah, that's it... took a listen on Amazon-- a "Pigskin Parade"/"Wizard of Oz" disc.
