THE HORN BLOWS AT MIDNIGHT is the property of Warner Brothers. (Turner Entertainment acquired the pre-1949 WB library from MGM/UA in 1986; Turner Entertainment was purchased by Time-Warner in 1996.)
WB's
Warner Archive will eventually release HORN. Warner Archive has a Facebook page, and regulary answers member questions and requests about their MOD-DVD program. THE HORN BLOWS AT MIDNIGHT is in their long-range plans.
In regard to HORN, as well as GEORGE WASHINGTON SLEPT HERE and IT'S IN THE AIR, they've said the current masters are videotape-sourced masters (which is what TCM still uses) and are not acceptable for their digital remastering standards. The library's film elements need to be re-transferred to digital format, but they are not in the best shape, and Warner may need to do restorations of the negatives and create new prints.
