Favorite Dennis Day catchphrases

When I first heard the Jack Benny Show I was instantly a fan of Dennis Day. He's my favorite part of the show.

My favorite catchphrase of his is "What's goin' on here?!" I was delighted whenever it was repeated and it got funnier every time! They even had Henry Aldrich say it!

I also like "Ohhhh...razor!" or whatever object he forgot and "Ooooh, what she said!" Dennis' lines always got a big laugh, even from the cast!

Favourite moments? Probably when he does impressions or dialects, especially in songs.

I still like how they manage to work in "two shows" gags even though I don't care much for his own show.

Hard to pick a favorite but how about when Phil coaches him to get tough? Dennis woos Mary with in his new tough guy voice, and when it quickly reaches the point where Dennis is obviously going to give Mary a massive smooch he "turns" to Phil and asks in his innocent voice, "Phil, what do I do now?"

I love it when they do a gag like this and there are many variations:
Dennis: I'm not going to the beach anymore, people always laugh at me.

Jack: Why Dennis? Do you walk funny down the beach?

Dennis: No

Jack: Well maybe its your swimming?

Dennis: I don't think so. I just go to to wade.

Jack: Well then, it might be look funny in your swimming trunks.

Dennis: OH SWIMMING TRUNKS!!

You just had to love Dennis the silly kid. I also liked his dialects. I heard an interesting interview from 1983 with Dennis and he talked about doing the dialects on the Jack Benny show. He was a great character!

One of my favorite shows is a Halloween episode where Dennis is a baby kangaroo in Don's pouch. He has some very funny moments!
