I've heard several of these before; I'm sure Don Wilson announced on at least one. But in this one, Frank Nelson has a nice role on this one and he gets to be maniac at the end of his piece.

Shows you how closely I was paying attention, Tim. I was more or less wondering why the announcer didn't sound familiar from anywhere. Ken Carpenter did a bunch of Here's to Veterans and it always strikes me as odd that he's not talking about cheese on them.

The Eve-Vera bit is fairly predictable and lags a bit in a spot or two, but they put such fun into it, I think it's a pretty good sketch. And I love just about anything Frank Nelson does.

I was reading on-line somewhere that Barbara Jo Allen did a number of short films as Vera Vague; for Columbia I think.
