Actress, Husband Adopt Daughter
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 2 [1953] (UP)—Actress Sara Berner and her husband, actor's agent Milton Rosner, today were the proud parents of an eight-month-old adopted daughter.
Miss Berner, the wisecracking telephone operator on Jack Benny's radio and TV programs, said her attorney notified her of the adoption approval yesterday.

LOS ANGELES, May 5 [1958] (AP) - Actress Sara Berner, 41, has divorced her husband, talent, agent Milton Rosner, 36. She plays Jack Benny's radio show telephone operator, Mabel Flapsaddle. She charged Rosner with cruelty, claiming he criticized and dominated her.

Berner Summer Show Debuts
[June 15, 1950] Tonight's lineup will include a new series, "Sara's Private Caper." Starring Sara Berner, it will be on WIBA and WIBA-FM at 9:30.
Miss Berner will appear as a crime-conscious police department stenographer who attempts to solve criminal cases in the best tradition of such sleuths as Sam Spade—using her many dialects as disguises.
Miss Berner is known best for her current portrayal of Ingrid Mataratza in the Jimmy Durante show.

HEDDA HOPPER'S HOLLYWOOD
[Aug. 10/53] Sara Berner, Jack Benney's [sic] telephone operator, signed with Walter Lantz to do the voice of his new penguin character, Chilly Willy. She'll get star billing above the penguin. Sara was the original Andy Dandy [sic], and five of her comics got Academy awards.

[May 24, 1952] Sara Berner, the character actress too busy working in TV shows to report for a movie role Interview at Fox, sent over her agent, a small man, with her mammoth scrapbook.
Next day a studio casting executive wrote her this note: "Dear Miss Berner. Please get yourself a smaller scrapbook or a taller agent."

According to the Internet Movie Database, Sara Berner was born in 1912, so that would mean the above report took five years off of her age.
