I can't find any biographical info about her on the IMDB site (only performing credits), and I was wondering what happened to her.....

Just to recap, Gracie and Mary Kelly were roommates in the days when George and Jack were swinging bachelors, and Mary Kelly met Jack through Gracie. When Mary hit hard times, she even lived with George and Gracie for a period, and it apparently broke Gracie's heart to have to ask her to leave the house when she thought Mary Kelly's alcohol problems might become dangerous (or at least a bad influence) on the Burns kids. With that in mind, and knowing that Jack and Mary (Livingstone) were incredibly close with the Burnses - the sad "Jack meets Mary Kelly again after many years" story seems a little confusing. Since Gracie and Mary Kelly seemingly never lost contact with each other, it is surprising that Jack never saw her in that interim - they being only one, very close, proverbial degree of separation from each other.

There was one thread or chat room conversation where we worked out some of the dates of the reunion and how much time had elapsed, though I can't seem to find it. I think it was something like 7 years between when Jack and Mary Kelly broke up, and the first skit where she appeared on the radio show. I still find it hard to believe that Jack was totally unaware of what was happening with Mary Kelly because of the Gracie factor. From all accounts Gracie was social friends with many but her dear, close, intimate friends were few and closely guarded - and Mary Kelly was one of those few. So it seems to me that Gracie was in touch with Mary K - and it stretches plausibility that Jack was totally oblivious to what was going on with her. It is, however, entirely plausible that when she auditioned for the part, that was the first time Jack had seen her in some time.
What's your source on Mary Kelly living with Burns and Allen?

But again, this indicates a degree of closeness with Gracie that seems counterintuitive to them being completely cut off from each other for 8 years.
