Fay McKenzie was on Groucho's "Blue Ribbon Town" as singer and, ah... ear candy? She flirted with Jack on one episode I have... "Jacksie Poo..." "Faysie Poo..."
Next she calls him just "Poo" and it sounds a little odd. Jack asks, "Was that Poo, or Pew?"

She was interviewed last night at a screening of silent films, "The Covered Wagon" with surviving segments of "Abraham Lincoln," in Beverly Hills. She started at age ten weeks (parents and older sisters "worked in pictures" already.) She and a sister portrayed Lincoln's sister Sarah at different ages.
She remembers getting a casting call at home when she was about 4 1/2. The neighbors were watching her while the rest of the family was away working. She went out front with her make-up case and waited for the studio car to come and get her.
In a slapstick comedy scene, the director told her not to laugh. She said, "I'll try..." Later her mother said to her, "What do you mean, 'I'll try'? What are you, a little amateur?"
She could cry on cue, but one director made sure by always saying "I'm gonna cut off your curls!"
Later she was in Gene Autry movies, and she was the woman laughing at the mirror in "Breakfast at Tiffany's."
