Marty Sperzel

I just saw a short film on TCM entitled 'The Knockout', made in 1932. It was an adolescent comedy made by the Hal Roach studio. In it there was a singing group, a trio I think, led by a fellow who looked very much like a young Marty Sperzel, one of the Sportsmen. I could swear it was him, but I haven't been able to find any info to verify it. Does anyone know about this?
"Hey, Jackson, does Fred Allen always talk through his nose?"

"Yes, Phil. He's the only comedian who tells 'em and smells 'em at the same time!"

It's possible the trio was "The Three Ambassadors". Having never seen the movie and trying to get info out of Mr. Sperzel was the equivalent of pulling teeth I can't tell you for sure. I'll snoop around my usual research spots to see what I can uncover.
Wait a minute, fellas....wait a minute......fellas.....wait a minute....fellas....fellas.......WAIT A MINUTE!!!
