Where's Don?

I'm not in the age territory of those who had a chance to watch short films when they played in theatres. Until recently, I never realised the large numbers of series by the studios, major and minor, of short subjects. (I'm still kicking myself I didn't buy Maltin's book on the topic when I saw it years ago).

Columbia had a series called "Screen Snapshots." And I've spotted a review for one released, I'm presuming, in 1947. It's release No. 6, entitled "Behind the Mike." Here's a review:

Audiences should enjoy informal shots of the nation's leading radio announcers. There is a lot of curiosity among radio listeners to see these famous "voices." Shown are Wendell and Ken Niles, Jim Ameche, Ken Carpenter, Ben Grauer, Harlow Wilcox, Ed Herlihy, Gene Baker, James Wallington, Bill Goodwin, Ford Pearson, Ford Bond, John Reed King, Howard Petrie, Lyle Van and others.

That's a great line-up of talent .. but where's Don Wilson? I'd think he (and maybe Harry Von Zell) would be close to the top of the list, as Don was a pretty busy announcer. Most, if not all, of these guys are on the west coast, so it's not like it's a New York roster of announcers (which would include guys like Kenny Delmar and Jackson Beck).

I don't even know who Lyle Van is.
