Anniv of Jack's death

Postby epeterd » Wed Dec 15, 2010 5:15 pm

I think I'm going to get in on this. I can't make it but I'd like to send a coin. And in the spirit that Jack would have loved, I'm send a 20 Euro cent coin. No idea how I even got it, but since Jack liked to pay in foreign money occasionally, I figured he'd love it. :D Anyone else gonna go or send something to Laura?

We can't make it, but I like the notion of sending a penny.

Thinking of Jack today.

Thanks, Jack, for all the joy and laughter. We miss you.

It is a true testament to the character of the man, that here it is what...36 years since his death...that Benny Kubelsky is still remembered with such fondness.

Who can forget Bob Hope's eulogy which included the following: "For a man that was the undisputed master of timing, this was the only time his timing was way off. He was stingy to the end, only giving us 80 years. It wasn't enough."

His work withstands the years and is still as enjoyable today as it was 'back in the day'.
"Accept Yourself. Respect Others. Live Simply. Relax Daily."
