Jack Benny photos from UCLA's archives

Postby DerekVOF » Tue May 15, 2007 6:08 pm

I've seen on a couple of site today that UCLA’s Department of Special Collections has posted over 5,000 images from the old archives of the LA Times and the original Los Angeles Daily News (1920-1990) at http://unitproj.library.ucla.edu/dlib/l ... uction.cfm

Being the curious one, I of course hopped in and found a few neat shot of Jack:

Jack Benny and Eddie Anderson, (aka Rochester) disembarking train with camel in Los Angeles, Calif.

The one of Gracie's funeral is heartbreaking. I've never seen that before, thanks for posting.

Gracie Allen Funeral

A powerful photograph. A reminder that Jack Benny and George Burns know and share the very same heartbreak we experience. This is obvious, I know... yet in a way a comforting reminder.
