Wanted to give you a heads-up that two episodes of "The Jack Benny Program" will be rebroadcast in the next few days.
Tomorrow (November 30th) at 10:30 P.M. Eastern time, Toronto's CFZM will rebroadcast a Jack Benny show as part of their weeknight rebroadcasts of old-time radio shows.
CFZM's nighttime signal covers most of the Eastern portions of the United States and Canada; beyond that area, you can go to http://www.zoomerradio.ca at the appropriate time, click on the "Listen Live" link, and enjoy!
And this weekend, the syndicated "When radio Was" will carry a "Christmas Shopping In New York" episode. However, they will split it into two parts, the first half on December 1st; the rest of the show on December 2nd.
Although "When radio Was" is nationally syndicated, I do know that the weeknight editions are carried on Chicago's WBBM (780 on the AM dial, whose nighttime signal covers most of the U.S. and Canada) at 1:05 A.M. Eastern time (12:05 A.M. local Chicago time). I don't know if WBBM carries the weekend editions or not; you can try tuning-in to them (or go online to http://www.wbbm780.com ) at 1:05 A.M. on Sunday morning, December 2nd and 1:05 A.M. Monday morning, December 3rd (late Saturday and Sunday nights respectively further West) to see if they are running the weekend editions.
Usual disclaimer: I don't work for CFZM, WBBM, nor "When Radio Was". But I wanted to give you a "heads-up" that Jack will be heard this weekend.
