Jackie Robinson Mentioned on Show?

Was Jackie Robinson ever referred to or mentioned on the radio program? He had grown up in Pasadena, and he attended Pasadena Junior College and UCLA in the 1930s (he was a athletic star in several sports at both schools). I would imagine there would have been some mention of him, except for the pesky fact that Robinson was black and I could imagine the network not wanting to offend racist listeners.
