Although Toronto's CFZM has ended their two week run of rebroadcasting "The Jack Benny Program" on their weeknight "Theatre Of The Mind" presentation of old-time radio shows (usually, they air Jack three times a year: for two weeks in the Spring, two weeks in the Summer, and a week of Christmas-themed episodes in December), they will be presenting a Benny-related program next week (August 19th-22nd).
It will be four episodes of "The Phil Harris/Alice Faye Show", featuring Benny's longtime musical foil Phil Harris and his singer/actress wife Alice Faye.
The programs will air from 10:30 to 11 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time each of those evenings.
CFZM is a 50,000-watt station at 740 on the AM dial with a nighttime signal that covers much of the Eastern portions of the U.S. and Canada. Outside of that area, you can go to http://www.am740.ca or http://www.zoomerradio.ca at the appropriate time, click-on the "Listen Live" link, and enjoy!
(Usual disclaimed: I don't work for CFZM nor know anyone who does, but I wanted to give you a heads-up)
