Phil and Mary Duets! Contest with a prize!

Postby Guest » Sun Mar 14, 2004 11:01 pm

I'm trying to find all of the Mary Livingstone and Phil Harris duets, so I can compile a CD of these songs. I would also like dates for any Phil Harris or Mary Livingstone soo songs as well. If you find a song I don't know about I will send you a free CD when I compile it. 8)

Here is waht we have found so far:

Phil & Mary sing 'How about you?' 12/28/41 Jack talks about his Christmas party

October 29, 1939. Phil and Mary sing, "Make With The Kisses."

November 3, 1940. Mary and Phil sing, "You Catch On Quick."

Stumbled onto them singing "You Gotta Talk Me Into It" at Terminal Island Naval base on Feb. 2, 1944. Mary, as usual, scared to death.
Will look out for more.

Phil and Mary do a "Shortnin' Bread" Grape Nuts commercial on Dennis Day's dream radio show on 3/19/44. Mary cracks up the whole time. Anyone keeping track?

Must have been a good season for the duets. Phil and Mary do "Love Love Love" on 4/23/44 in Vancouver, B.C., Mary's home town.

Phil and Mary sing the novelty tune, "Won't You Marry Me Now" 2/6/44

It's one of my favorites!

"You got to talk me into it, talk me into it, baby..."

I found this one on "Jack Benny and WWII" tape set distributed by The Audio File. The song title and date is different than what you had listed, but I'm not sure which one would be correct. Just thought I would pass along the info!
