I picture a big "sound stage", that has one microphone for Jack and Mary, and another for the rest of the cast. I "see" them reading from their scripts (just as they would for a radio show), with some stools thrown in for them to sit down on (why I like to picture stools can only be attributed to my liking to rest). And as always, they have great fun when they do their show.
Oh. And they always face each other when they're talking, too.
