I checked out a book from my public library this evening called "Tune in Yesterday: the ultimate encyclopedia of old-time radio 1925-1976". It's wonderful! The book has every show imaginable listed in alphabetical order and a 1-4 page description of the show. I looked up a couple of shows I'm interested in listening to, Information Please and It Pays to be Ignorant. I'm very impressed with the descriptions they give of different shows. And whoever wrote the listing for JB show described the best aspects of the show and included even small details such as Mary working for the May Company, Phil's chirping "Hiya Jackson" each week and other wonderful facts.
The book wets your appetite for shows you've always wanted to listen to. I reccommend it highly for any of you to read. :-)
