This has gotten me interested... what is the National Archives web address?

: Does Jack have gray hair? If so, the photo is from the 1940s. He darkened his hair with the advent of TV.

: The link below will take you to the page that takes you to the page where the National Archives has its online Archival Resource Locater.

: When you get to the ARC search, type in Jack Benny and Ann Blyth. Most (unfortunately not all) of Benny's USO tours and appearances were preserved by Signal Corps film or photographs.

: Benny's overseas USO tours were only in WWII and Korea. He never went to Vietnam.

: Ann Blyth (Dennis Day's sister-in-law) suggests that your photos are from the 1950s, the peak of her stardom.

: Too bad Rochester isn't in the photos. There are people who post on this site who could instantly date that photo by the state of his receding hairline!

: Hope this helps.

: : Here at White Sands Missile Range we have discovered some photos showing Jack Benny and Ann Blyth appearing in our theater. We assume it is a USO event. One posed photo shows Mr. Benny riding a missile.
: : There are no dates or captions on these photos and, so far, we have not been able to find any info to include the date.
: : Are there any records available that might tell us when Mr. Benny visited what was then called White Sands Proving Ground?? Looks like early 1950s.
: : Thanks.
